Hello, I'm Francesca. Welcome to my library!
They say that if you love London you can't be happy in Paris. But I never believed it. If I close my eyes I am in the English countryside, where I was lucky enough to live for two years. If I open them again I am sitting on a bench looking at the Seine, not far from my current home. The books I read (especially the illustrated ones... I love them!) are about British lifestyle and French délicatessen. In the kitchen, next to the tea from Fortnum & Mason, I put the one from Mariage Frères. I can't choose whether scones or macarons are better. After visiting Buckingham Palace, I walked through the corridors of Versailles and It's difficult to decide between the afternoon tea ritual and the scent of the boulangeries. On my shelves porcelain teacups are exposed together with old biscuit boxes found in Sunday marchés aux puces in Paris, and the wonders collected at Hatchard's, Queen Elisabeth's favorite bookshop, make way for those of WHSmith on rue de Rivoli 248, right next to the Louvre. Here the two cities meet and my melancholy for England fades.
If you want to join, even if only virtually, I will gladly keep a place for you here next to me. I will show you my independent stationery lines with beautiful greeting cards inspired by the stationery department of Liberty, my favorite, and by the timeless romance of the Ville Lumière!
LET'S HAVE A TOUR AROUND ...
Before Flok, I had never had a dog. It was thanks to this honey-colored Golden Retriever that I rediscovered walks in the early morning when silence wraps everything and the light is still low on the horizon. I had the pleasure of breathing into nature while Flok ran in the paths. Flok was born in Verona, the italian city made famous all over the world thanks to Shakespeare's masterpiece Romeo and Juliet....and since nothing happens by chance in life, one day I'll tell you about her Juliet.

The two of us, on the other hand, began to know each other on the Ligurian seafront, without knowing that soon we would find ourselves walking together immersed in the English countryside among its green lands and the picturesque cottages. We walked everyday wearing my rain boots and his Barbour coat. We played with rabbits and squirrels in the Surrey woods, we met the Queen's Corgis in Windsor and the tourists in Piccadilly Circus. We took pictures with the ducks of Hyde Park and with the colorful flower bed of Jane Austen's house in Chawton. Now we are in Paris, the city where we live and where many other explorations, adventures and discoveries await us. We hope to be able to tell you in this blog! #walkaroundwithflok
